Study Visas

Students who are citizens of the member states of the European Community do not need a visa. It is however advisable that they request a E111 from the Health Services of their country, if they want to be covered by the Italian National Health Service;
Students who are citizens of countries outside the European Community, should enquire at the nearest Italian Embassy or Consulate or at the website: http://www.esteri.it/visti/index_eng.asp whether or not they will require a study visa, where and how to apply;
Visa application will require the certificate of enrollment that Accademia Europea di Firenze provides in the confirmation letter;
Accademia Europea di Firenze is not responsible for course cancellations due to the Consulate/Embassy denying to issue a study visa.

Insurance

It is advisable to have insurance that covers you for accidents, illness, theft or loss: Accademia Europea di Firenze and apartment landlords cannot be held responsible;

Lessons

The lessons and extra-curricular activities take place from Monday to Friday, from 9:00am to 5:30pm;
Each lesson lasts 45 minutes;
Lessons missed for reasons independent of the school, cannot be recuperated.

Accommodations

Accommodation reserved through the school's housing service will be available to students starting one day before the beginning of the course to one day after the end of the course;
Accademia Europea di Firenze acts only as a liaison for contacts between students and landlords;
Students are not obligated to use the housing service provided by the school. Accademia Europea di Firenze cannot be held responsible for contacts between students and landlords once they have established communications with each other.

Personal Data (privacy)

Accademia Europea di Firenze informs you that in accordance with the Italian Privacy Act (art 7D lgs 196/2003), you have the right to:
a) know that your personal data will be filed in our archive;
b) be informed of the name and title of the person responsible for the treatment of personal data;
c) obtain upon request, a confirmation of your personal data on file, how it was obtained, and how it will be used;
d) obtain upon request, the cancellation of all or part of your personal data or its transformation in anonymous data;
e) update, modify or correct your personal data;
f) be notified that any modifications of your personal data have been communicated and updated on all levels;
g) refuse completely or in part, with due reason, having your records and personal data kept on file;
h) reserve the right to cancel at a later date, the utilization of your personal data to receive information and communications from the school, or be included in market research related to the school.

At any moment you may have free access to you data to update, modify, integrate, cancel or refuse that they be utilized, by making a request to Accademia Europea di Firenze, via Roma 4, 50123 Firenze (FI) Italia or by email to privacy@accademiaeuropeafirenze.it.

Cancellations

Enrollment cancellations must be communicated in written form (fax, email, telegram, certified letter) at least 30 days before the beginning of the course for a full refund;
If a cancellation is communicated less than 30 days before the beginning of the course, the deposit will NOT be refunded, however, it will remain at the disposition of the student as a valid deposit for another course, to be utilized within 12 months of the date of the cancelled course.
