AEF regularly organizes preparatory courses for those students who intend on taking certification exams. After taking a placement test to assess the student’s level and to which certification he/she should take, the student will work on a series of exercises and tasks that will help him/her become acquainted with the content of the certification exam.
Aside from the exercises related directly to the linguistic part of the exam, the instructor will also provide tips and advice on how to best manage the timed sections of the exam, as well as understanding the mechanisms of the comprehension sections and recognizing the most effective language structures.
CILS - The Certification of Italian as a Foreign Language (CILS) is the official title that represents the degree of linguistic competency of Italian as a foreign language. The CILS is awarded by the University of Siena for Foreigners and is recognized by the Italian State through the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Most of Italian universities use the CILS (and the CELI) as an entrance requirement.
CELI - The CELI exams are the world's leading certificates for Italian language learners. They are issued by the Perugia University for foreigners and recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The CELI exams are also recognized by companies, universities and government organizations throughout the world. Having a CELI will help you gain entrance to a university or college, improve your professional prospects and quantify your progress in Italian.
DELI - With this Italian language diploma, the candidate has shown that he is able to understand the elementary structures of the Italian language. And that he is able to read basic texts and he can communicate in common everyday situations.
DALI - With this Italian language diploma, the candidate has proven that through his knowledge of the Italian language he can express himself properly, both orally and in writing, with the complexity expected of everyday language skills. Additionally, he can understand and compose written texts.
