Italians Invent Diet-Safe Ice-Cream

We all know what dieticians say about Ice-cream: “Don’t even think about it!” Well Italian scientists, led by Attilio Del Re, claim to have created an ice-cream that fits perfectly with a balanced diet (the Mediterranean Diet in particular) and that it can be eaten everyday.

Del Re's team spent six months examining and conducting electron microscope analyses of various mixes before obtaining the "optimized" gelato.

The optimized ice cream is 30% fat, 15% protein and 55% sugar.

Of course, it also had to pass the researchers' taste tests. They say your taste buds won’t notice the difference.
